Since 1993 the Housing Authority of Cumberland County has competed and has received $2,732,174 in Comprehensive Improvement Grant Funds to upgrade and modernize its public housing units in the Borough of Carlisle. These funds were used as follows:

Storm door & Exterior Door Replacement Sidewalk installation

Accessibility ramping to individual units to increase visibility to the tenants for their Visitors

Landscaping Upgrades Vinyl replacement windows

Replacement of kitchen cabinets, ranges, exhaust fans and hoods, refrigerators

Replacement of water heaters, vanities and closet doors

Security camera installation

Purchase of computer hardware, software and staff training

Purchase of carbon monoxide detectors Purchase of water heaters

Upgrade security lighting Roof replacement

Remove and build new storage sheds for tenants Seal coat Parking Lots

Purchase and replacement of gas fired furnaces

Purchase a pickup truck for Senior Housing facilities

Floor tile replacement

Rehabilitation/Handicap accessibility of a vacant space into a Computer Resource Center
