Christopher Gulotta, Executive Director

Beginning in 2009, the Housing and Redevelopment Authorities will operate under an umbrella name - Cumberland/Perry Housing and Community Partnership.  This new name reflects the Authorities increasing work in Perry County and emphasizes the partnership between the Housing Authority and Redevelopment Authority in accomplishing projects in both Cumberland and Perry Counties.

Legally, we will continue to transact business as the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Cumberland and the Housing Authority of the County of Cumberland.

The Authorities have been on the scene since 1975.  Our hallmark has been working with hundreds of different organizations over the years to get important community development and affordable housing projects accomplished.  We recognize that it would be foolish to undertake projects alone; by collaborating with other organizations we capitalize on the strengths of those organizations.

We value our working relationships with municipal and county governments in both Cumberland and Perry Counties as well as those with private non-profit corporations and private developers.  Our goal is to encourage private investment in projects whenever possible.  This increases the tax base and demonstrates, in a very tangible way, the viability of communities that we work in.

We have a new slogan too- "Better places, better lives...through innovation and dedication".  We remain enthusiastic and excited about the future of community development and affordable housing in Cumberland and Perry Counties.  Looking ahead to 2009, we see opportunities for substantial progress and will continue to work hard for the citizens of Cumberland and Perry Counties.
